Global Fashion

Global Fashion is a project about how fashion in a few selected countries (Sri Lanka, China, Japan, UK, Portugal, India, Egypt) changed with time. In this project we are catering to the global theme Identity and Belonging. Here we try to teach children about the evolution of Fashion through time, ICT skills and English Language skills.

In this project we have covered a range of subjects including English, Art, ICT, History, Environmental studies, Civics and so on. The teachers who are responsible for this project are Mrs.K.I.D.Ratnayake, Mrs. Ruwani Amarasinghe, Mrs. Achala Hettigamage, Mrs. N. Abeykoon, Mr. Malalasekara and Mr. Thisara De Alwis.

The following photos are shots from the fashion parade we had as part of this project showcasing the Fashion from our selected countries. The students from grades 1-5 dressed as people from different cultures and came on stage. They enjoyed this day a lot as this was the first time they tried out an activity like this.
